I actually registered for the conference yesterday AND booked my room! I am so proud of myself… I’m usually last minute crazy.

So thought I would encourage you to come to the GLMA – Georgia Library Media Association – summer institute. It’s always really great.

Here’s some reasons why I like it:

1. I always meet new people.
2. I meet people from other areas of the state.
3. I have now met folks that we look forward to seeing each other at the conference, and because we are in way different places we would never run into each other.
4. It’s not too expensive.
5. It’s not too far away.
6. It’s not too long.
7. I get to talk shop – or even trash! – with folks I really enjoy but might not get to visit with much in our busy day to day life.
8. I always get new ideas.
9. I ALWAYS learn new stuff.
10. It’s a good way to encourage each other.

We’ve got great folks in our midst who are planning the institute and there are great folks in our midst who are officers in the GLMA that make a difference to us professionally.

So, just thought I’d encourage you to try to attend the GLMA Summer Institute. I am sure you will be glad you did.
