Attend 2007 AASL in Reno!
Have you ever attended an American Association of
School Librarians' Conference? If not and if you meet the criteria
listed below, you may qualify for a grant to help you attend
the meeting October 25-28, 2007 in Reno , Nevada .
"My First AASL" Grant application forms are available
now. To qualify for one of the $750 awards, all you must do is
(1) be a member of AASL by October 1, 2007
(2) be currently working in an elementary or middle school
library
(3) be attending your first AASL National Conference
(4) have little or no travel funds available from your district.
The deadline for applications is May 1, 2007.
Bound To Stay Bound Books, Inc., a leading supplier of children’s
and young adult books, will award two of these grants to members
of GLMA, in an attempt to encourage professional growth and interaction.
Winners will be chosen at random from those who apply.
