American Association of School Librarians Happenings:

The National AASL Conference is happening in Reno in October 2007. The dates are October 25, 26, and 27. It is a three day event with the focus on the “Future of Our Programs and Profession.” The primary source of news and information about the AASL National Conference is on the AASL Conference website: http://www.ala.org/assl/reno

In order to recognize the changing role of the school library media programs now and in the future, the AASL is developing new learning standards for school library media programs. There is an interactive wiki about the new standards where members can make live changes and suggestions to the draft document. The wiki address is:

Reminder for the American Library Association’s Annual Conference to be held in Washington, D.C. in June 2007. Confirmed speakers you will not want to miss are:
