Media Specialist of the Year
It is with great pleasure that we now announce the District 1 Library Media Specialist of the Year – Judi
Olsen Teston of Burroughs-Molette Elementary in Glynn County.
We are proud to announce that Louise B. Warren, media specialist at Beaverbrook Elementary School in Spalding County, has been selected as the
GLMA 2003 District 3 Library Media Specialist of the Year!
Mrs. Warren has been a committed and dedicated media specialist for 29 years. She was recognized as a K-4 Honor Teacher by the Atlanta
Journal-Constitution in 1997, the first media specialist in the state to
receive this recognition. Her school superintendent says, "Her dedication
to a project is matched only by her enthusiasm and perseverance to see the
job is done and that it is done well."
Mrs. Warren is an exemplary role model for all of us as we work to serve
our students and teachers.
Congratulations to Tina Graham for being chosen as Media Specialist of
the Year for District 9. Tina is the Library Media Specialist at Heritage Elementary School in Bibb County. She will represent our
district in the state competition.
Congratulations to Miriam Fears of Hendrix Drive Elementary School in Clayton County for being selected the District 4 Media Specialist of the
Year. She will represent our district in the state competition which will be announced at COMO (Conference of Media Organizations) in October.
All of the nominees exemplify the quality of media specialist / media program that has been a long standing Georgia tradition. District 4 also wishes to congratulate these system level Media Specialists of the Year:
