36th Annual Children's Literature Conference
Submitted by Ellen Gadberry

Mark your calendars now for the 36th Annual Conference on Children’s Literature on April 29 and 30, 2005. This year’s event is shaping up to be the best ever, with entertaining presentations from dynamic authors like Jose Bruchac and exciting new features like the final competition of the State Georgia Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl. Although this conference takes place next spring, you’ll want to begin planning now to participate as an attendee, a presenter, or both. (It’s never too early to start securing those professional leave days!)

The conference is sponsored by the Department of Language and Literacy Education in the College of Education at the University of Georgia, and is held at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education in Athens, Georgia. Visit us anytime at http://www.coe.uga.edu/gachildlit/index.html. Visit often to see our site enhancements to the Georgia Book Award program, further conference details, registration information, and much more!
