District 3 News

Marilee Tice, media specialist at Futural Road Elementary School in Griffin, has been selected as District 3’s Library Media Specialist of the Year. This honor is in addition to her selection as Teacher of the Year at Futural for 2004 where she has worked for the past four years.

Marilee has also worked as an instructional technology specialist for the Georgia Department of Education technology training center in Macon; a technology specialist for the Griffin-Spalding School System; an interrelated specialist; exploratory teacher; and computer lab teacher. She received media certification in 2002 from the State University of West Georgia. She was an Atlanta Journal Constitution Honor Teacher nominee in the Special Education division in 1993.

District 3 congratulates Marilee on this honor. We are proud to have her represent us at the state level.
