Georgia Public Broadcasting was pleased to have the opportunity
to present at the GLMA Summer Institute. We presented information
about the many wonderful resources available to educators through
GPB. Programs highlighted included Salsa, Irasshai , Georgia Stories,
GPB Classroom , and unitedstreaming.
- Salsa is an award winning elementary
Spanish language learning program.
- Irasshai is a program designed
to meet the needs of high school and college students wanting
for-credit Japanese courses to meet their foreign language
requirement.
- Georgia Stories is an award-winning
educational series designed to support the teaching of Georgia
history. Comprised of two series of video programs, Georgia
Stories I and Georgia Stories II enhance
the learning of Georgia history students in eighth and fourth
grade by tracing the history and economic development of Georgia
.
- GPB Classroom is a video series
to support chemistry and physics teachers in the classroom!
- unitedstreaming is Discovery
Education’s digital video-based learning resource that
has been scientifically proven to increase academic achievement.
Educators can use this tool to search through the digital library
and find video clips, digital images, lesson plans and more
that correlate with subject matter being taught in the classroom. unitedstreaming is
provided for Georgia educators FREE of charge through GPB.
