GLMA District 6 members met Thursday, Sept. 25, at 4 p.m. at
Riverside Elementary in Evans. Riverside Elementary Media Specialist
Gloria Chandler hosted the meeting.
District 6 Media Specialist of the Year Toni Fishburne was honored
with a special cake and a chrysanthemum.
In reviewing the minutes and the goals from the spring meeting,
it was noted that membership has increased by 100 percent since
that meeting. Members also participated in a mock Helen Ruffin
Reading Bowl, which was demonstrated by Barbara Hallstrom and
Melinda Morin.
